Fabric Trellis Fencing Solar Shade
Our client was looking to revamp its patio seating. To help achieve this goal, we designed a freestanding, wood- framed canopy with retractable curtain awnings for shade relief. Our client also wanted to enclose a section of the patio to protect against the elements, while maintaining an open feel.
To attain this balance, we changed the design of the roof from a metal frame with canvas to a pergola-styled roof. We covered the roof with fabric to protect from the sun and rain, while still allowing natural light to come through, giving that desired open feel.
We also installed a decorative fence between the posts to divide the patio and allow more seating configurations. To help block the sun and rain, we installed retractable solar curtains. These curtains can be controlled by remote to allow for partial or complete extension of the shades. On the patio, we additionally installed an interior misting system with fans to help reduce the temperatures of the patio during the warmer months.
By creating a versatile seating area, our client is now able to maximize its seating, even during unfavorable weather. The fencing helps separate foot traffic in the restaurant from cars picking up curbside orders. All these incorporated features provide long term benefit for our client by allowing more organized seating, better foot traffic flow, and a great curb appeal. This structure entices customers to enjoy dining with our client, which results in higher revenues.
